Robert Steven "Steve" Merry

Robert “Steve” Merry, 72, of Leavenworth, Indiana, died on March 18, 2023 at Baptist Health- Floyd.  Steve was born on June 12, 1950 in Bedford, Indiana to the late Robert B. Merry and Bonnie Lee (Cannon) Jarvis.

Steve was a former crane operator and steel fitter for the former Jeff Boat in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  He loved to fish and deer hunt, listen to classic rock music, was excellent at drawing, a Ford man, and loved to play with his kitties.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Amber Merry; and a sister, Rita Nelson.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jackie A. (Cole) Merry; daughters:  Carmen Atkins (Donnie) of Milltown, Indiana, Stephanie R. Adamson (Jimmie) of Milltown, Indiana, and Autumn Timberlake (Jason) of Mauckport, Indiana; grandchildren:  Kayla Stephenson, Josh Chanley, Kristin Adamson, James Adamson, Jamie Timberlake, Jenna Timberlake, Nataleigh Sprinkle; and 4 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.
