Robert (Bob) E. Bright

Robert (Bob) E. Bright, 81, of Milltown, Indiana died on April 11, 2022 at his residence.  Bob was born on September 24, 1940 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Leo B. and Nancy E. (Austin) Bright.

Bob was a retired from Ellingsworth Electric Company and a former manager for AutoZone in Corydon, Indiana and former Post Master for the Milltown Post Office.  He was a member of the Blue River Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-daughter, Tammy Bradley; 5 sisters; 1 brother, and a great-granddaughter, Kelsi Adamson.

He is survived by his wife- Norma L. (Duke) Bright of Milltown, Indiana; a son, Robert E. Bright Jr. (Gayla) of Shephersville, Kentucky; his daughter- Robin K. Slattery (Paul) of Clarksville, Indiana; step-sons:  Norman Adamson of Ft. McCoy, Florida and James Adamson of Milltown, Indiana; brothers:  Melvin Bright of Salem, Indiana and Merrill Bright of New Salisbury, Indiana; grandchildren:  Derrick Singleton, Stephanie Gognat, Daniel Slattery, Dale Bright, Justin Bright, Kaylin Bright, Sherri Hanger, Kasey Melvin, Nicole and Brandy Adamson, Megan Hunter, Danielle Manship, Dustin Garrett, Josh Chanely, Kristin Jenkins, Spencer Mattingly and JR Adamson, 34 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Pilot Knob Cemetery near Milltown, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 4-8 pm and after 9:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 pm, all at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.

Bro. Don McCarroll will officiate the service.
