Roberta (Dukes) Barnwell

Roberta (Dukes) Barnwell, 92, of Milltown, Indiana died on April 16, 2023 at Baptist Health-Louisville Hospital.  She was born on September 28, 1930 in Milltown, Indiana to the late James Ollo and Ella (Durham) Dukes.

She was a licensed hair dresser.  She was a mother to all who knew her.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, bird watching, loved nature, and loved her fur babies.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Trudy Emara; son, Michael Summers, brothers, John Dukes and William Duke; sisters, Virginia Linne, Dorothy Clark, and Carman Elliott.

She is survived by her son, Robert S. Boyd-Barnwell and his life partner, Ruth Ketcham; a grandson, Kalyff Craig Punches-Brush; brothers, Jim and Charles Dukes; sisters, Norma Bright and Lula Mae VanWinkle; grandsons, Christopher John Lockett and Michael Florio.

The memorial service will be on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Milltown Baptist Church, 605 E. Main Street, Depauw, Indiana  47115.  A meal will follow the service and feel free to bring a covered dish.
