Ronald J. Newkirk

Ronald J. Newkirk, 78, of Leavenworth, Indiana died on March 9, 2025 at Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Ronald was born October 23, 1946 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Vincent J. Newkirk and Marion Sites.

Ronald worked at several sawmills around Crawford County and was formerly employed at Hurst Lumber Company in Corydon, Indiana.  He enjoyed fishing and playing Bingo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Newkirk; a brother, John Newkirk; and a sister, Marilyn Pickett.

He is survived by his son, Ronald James Newkirk (Sherry) of Orleans, Indiana; daughter, Melissa Isaacs (Timothy) of Palmyra, Indiana; brother, Vincent J. Newkirk Jr. of Chicago, Illinois; a grandson, Loyd Meek and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Milltown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.

Rev. Philo Jones will officiate the service.
