Scott Dean Thompson, 61, of Corydon, Indiana formerly of Depauw, Indiana passed from this life on June 27, 2025, which was on his mother's birthdate, at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Scott was born on January 22, 1964 in Corydon, Indiana to the late Joseph E. and Emily Elizabeth (Stonecipher) Thompson.
Scott was a former employee of Restonic Matress in New Albany, Indiana and most recently he was a delivery person for Door Dash and Spark. He was a 1982 graduate of North Harrison High School and a member of Milltown Baptist Church. He enjoyed drinking Duncan Donuts coffee, loving on his cat Callie, and any other cats that came in his path. He really was in his happy place here recently, enjoying his life and spending time with his family. He loved all his Door Dash Family, spending time and working along side of them and earned the title from his co-workers as "Shopping Man."
He is survived by his brothers, Joseph E. Thompson Jr. and Frank E. Thompson (Connie); sisters, Peggy A. Weber, Linda K. Calabris, Jeanne R. Timberlake (Steve), Donna M. Carter, Penny J. Brown, and Debbie G. Rowe (Don), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Brenda S. Allen.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Milltown Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 3:00 p.m.
Bro. Scott Blessitt will officiate the funeral service.
