Shirley J. (Potterville) Ferrell

Shirley J. (Potterville) Ferrell, 86, of English, Indiana passed from this life on September 1, 2022 at the home of her granddaughter, Karla Andrew.  Shirley was born on January 6, 1936 in Racine, Wisconsin to the late Arthur and Cora Lehman Potterville.

Shirley was a former secretary for Planning and Construction Association in Louisville, Kentucky.  She was a United States Air Force Veteran.  She was a member of the Milltown American Legion Post #332, Trinity Assembly of God near Corydon, Indiana and loved going to flea markets, gardening, and enjoyed traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benny Ferrell; brothers, Arthur and Eugene Potterville; and a great-grandchild, Hailey Faith Norton.

She is survived by her children, James and Russell Cornelison both of Milltown, Indiana; Della Hensley (Keith) of Marengo, Indiana and Elizabeth Norton (Harley) of Burnsville, North Carolina; step children:  Charlie Ferrell (Gail) of Milltown, Indiana and Darlene A. Myers (Nelson) of Milltown, Indiana; grandchildren, Karla Andrew (James), Joseph Hensley (Traci), Chris Grunden, Tommy Norton (Jane), Craig Cornelison, Melody Grow (Adrian), Joshua Ferrell (Rebecca), Paul H. Stewart Jr. (Jeannie), and Kari L. Kile (Chris); 22 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Batman Ridge Cemetery near Milltown, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 pm, at the funeral home.

Pastor Paul Greer will officiate the service.
