Warren D. “Red” Hickman, 81, of Marengo, Indiana passed from this life on June 19, 2024 at Harrison Springs Health Campus in Corydon, Indiana. Red was born on January 11, 1943 in Illinois to the late Samuel and Delores (Senneke) Hickman.
Red was a former professional fire fighter for 7 years and many years of volunteer fire fighting as a volunteer, including Marengo-Liberty Volunteer Fire Department. He was a volunteer coordinator, during the 2004 Tornado in Marengo, Indiana. He also served as a safety officer for Hanifen Trucking.
Red was a 1960 graduate from Boystown in Nebraska, served in the United States Navy, and was a member of the Hillview Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia S. Hickman and a sister, Sister Rosalie Buloanda.
He is survived by a niece and her husband Shawn and Tim Hanifen of Ramsey, Indiana.
Funeral services will be on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillview Christian Church near Marengo, Indiana. Interment will follow in the El Bethel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 p.m., at the church.
Bro. Paul Walerczak will officiate the funeral service.
