William J. Mayer, 65, of Marengo, Indiana died on June 26, 2023 at Harrison Healthcare in Corydon, Indiana. William was born on August 28, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky to Vona Diane Embry and the late Alfred M. Mayer
William was a former truck driver for the Crawford County Highway Department for 18 years. He enjoyed yard sales, flea markets, motorcycles and muscle cars.
William was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Mayer and brother, John Mayer.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa M. (Bogard) Mayer of Marengo, Indiana; mother, Vona Diane Embry; Sons: Myron Yoder of Long Island, Virginia, Jeffrey Ash of Ferdinand, Indiana, Justin Ash of Taswell, Indiana, Suede Chapin of Milltown, Indiana; daughter, Christina Ash of Evansville, Indiana; sister, Mary Lavey of Clarksille, Indiana; grandchildren: Raylynn Ash, Chase Ash, Mariah Chapin, Shelbie Chapin, Autumn Chapin, Caleb, Clifton, Carlton, and Cara Beth Yoder.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 12:00 pm until time of the service at 4:00 pm.
Bro. Bruce Hawkins will officiate the service.
